  29. 'Triumph of the NERDs' was the title of a recent Cringely show which
  30. aired in the UK on Channel 4 last month.  There was an IRC followup
  31. to the show on Undernet with Robert taking questions live.

  33. I remember seeing the caption for Mat Hostetter during the show and
  34. thinking: "Mat Hostetter. Now where do I know that name from?"  
  35. Then I remembered ARDI and it all fell into place... (It's only
  36. recently I've come back to reading the emulator newsgroups, ironically
  37. beause of the Amiga emulator interest - I remember your conversations
  38. Cliff of around a year ago when the can it/can't it be done debate
  39. was well underway). Sorry, I digress.

  41. Considering the title of the show, it was a surprisingly interesting
  42. and detailed account of pioneering hi-tech companies.  I think you
  43. were favourably compared as the 'new Apple' company, sort of in the
  44. image of a Wozniac garage startup company made good - at least that's
  45. the impression I remember getting.
