  22. I haven't had any luck getting Executor/DOS to work for me under the new 
  23. Windows NT 4.0 beta (build 1234).  No problem, I can't expect to run all 
  24. beta programs and have them get along all the time.n't expect to run all 
  25.  
  26. But I'm also evaluating an X server for NT called eXalt (from Intergraph), 
  27. and I've been running a few apps on my Linux box, with the display going , 
  28. to my X server on NT.  It's pretty good, and not all *that* slow.  eXalt , 
  29. is an X11R5 implementation and it puts the X programs right alongside the  
  30. Windows programs, with them a Win95-looking window manager.  Cool.ide the  
  31.  
  32. So I tried running Executor/Linux with the display going to my NT box, and 
  33. it wouldn't start, giving me an error: the display going to my NT box, and 
  34.  
  35. executor: XError `11': BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) and 
  36. X_CreateCursoror `11': BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) and 
  37.

  39. I'm not sure what kind of resources X_CreateCursor needs, but I can say nd 
  40. that Executor is the only program I've found that gives this error.  ay nd 
  41. Netscape 2.01 for Linux, which I'd consider a "resource" hog in general, d 
  42. displays happily on eXalt.  I'm guessing I've found an eXalt bug, and I've 
  43. reported it to Intergraph, too, but I'm posting here in case somebody else 
  44. has run into the "BadAlloc with X_CreateCursor" bug on another X server.se 
  45.
