- I don't recall Microsoft coming out with a system that rendered old
- software useless. Win95 can run the vast majority of Win3.x and even
- DOS programs. I don't think an OS that can run programs from the
- early eighties can really be thought of as abandoning the past.

- On the other hand, I do remember a post in this group from a Mac user
- who wanted to know if Executor would run under SoftWindows because it
- was the only way he could think of to get a System 6-specific app
- running on his PowerMac.
