  29. I don't recall Microsoft coming out with a system that rendered old
  30. software useless.  Win95 can run the vast majority of Win3.x and even
  31. DOS programs.  I don't think an OS that can run programs from the
  32. early eighties can really be thought of as abandoning the past.

  34. On the other hand, I do remember a post in this group from a Mac user
  35. who wanted to know if Executor would run under SoftWindows because it
  36. was the only way he could think of to get a System 6-specific app
  37. running on his PowerMac.
