  29. There are two classes of beta testers.  The recipients of beta0 have
  30. been hand-picked from people who have already given us tones of bug
  31. reports and suggestions in the past.  These people (fewer than a
  32. dozen) will all be sent a copy of beta0.  After they've given us a
  33. list of problems and we've fixed as many as we think we should, we'll
  34. make beta1 which will go to the original beta0 people and also go to
  35. people who paid extra to get a copy of the beta CD-ROM when it is
  36. ready.

  41. The CD-ROM has about 400 Mb of data on it (much of it is duplicated
  42. information in different formats), so it's impractical for people to
  43. download all of that and then try to reproduce the file layout and
  44. send us bug reports.

  46. We greatly appreciate the bug reports that we receive about Executor
  47. in general, but we still needed to get a few people to take a look at
  48. our packaging and that's the purpose the the beta testers serve.

  54. won't be ready in time for us to put it on our CD though.

  64. web site.  We may even do that for beta0, but we haven't decided yet.
