  17. Largely 1.99q6 fixes regressions that were introduced in 1.99q5
  18. (although it also fixes some regressions that were introduced
  19. earlier).

  21. Under DOS it also has some modifications related to floppy drive
  22. access.  As such, E/D may be able to read and write Macintosh
  23. formatted floppy drives on the systems where it stopped doing so when
  24. we added sound.  If that isn't the case, a new command line switch can
  25. be used as long as you're not running Windows 3.x.  The switch is
  26. "-blockinterrupts" and it may help people who are having trouble with
  27. Executor reading and writing Macintosh formatted floppies.  It may
  28. also help with CD-ROM or ASPI problems.

  30. I'd very much like to hear from people who used to be able to read and
  31. write Macintosh formatted floppies who found that when we added sound
  32. support we managed to break floppy access.  Specifically I want to
  33. know whether the situation is improved using 1.99q6 without any extra
  34. command line switches and if it's not whether "-blockinterrupts"
  35. helps.

  37. We're now getting to the point where we think we've fixed the vast
  38. majority of regressions.  If you know of any programs that used to
  39. work better in a previous version of Executor than they do under
  40. 1.99q6, please send a brief description of the regression to
  41. "bugs@ardi.com".  Make sure you mention which version of Executor (be
  42. specific) the application used to run better under, the nature of the
  43. new problem, and the name and version number of the application in
  44. question.

  46. NOTE: We know there are a bunch of bugs that have been around forever,
  47. and we will be tracking down and fixing many of them before Executor 2
  48. ships, but right now I'm *only* concerned with regressions.
