  24. Try taking a brand new 1.44 floppy, using DOS's FORMAT command to put
  25. an IBM format on it, then use E/D's Browser's "Format Floppy" menu
  26. item to change the format to Mac and then try writing on it and taking
  27. the floppy to the Mac and see how that works.

  36. Thanks for letting us know, since that would be the next question we
  37. ask.  This tells us that there are no weird TSRs or device drivers
  38. being loaded in your config.sys or autoexec.bat that are causing the
  39. strange behavoiour.

  48. In light of the fact that you're having trouble with a clean boot, I'd
  49. guess either that the floppies in question that you are using have
  50. some sort of problem or that the floppy drives you are using are
  51. slightly out of spec.  To the best of my knowledge, nobody else is
  52. having this problem (although we did have one user who had weird
  53. trouble under Linux that was never tracked down), which makes your
  54. trouble consistent with hardware or media trouble.  By replying
  55. directly on this list I'm sure I'll be told if this is an ongoing
  56. problem that other people are having as well.
