  15.     The sound is in the %-fork.  It's in .sou format (or at least 
  16. that's what the sound editor I last used on them, Wired for Sound, called 
  17. them)--generally, "raw data."  There will be a "click" at the beginning 
  18. of the sound--and maybe at the end--due to all of the headers, 
  19. non-resource stuff, etc.  Edit those out, or cut-and-paste the good part 
  20. into a new file, save as a more common format (like .wav) and enjoy.
  21.     You will probably have to adjust the speed of playback.  I've
  22. noticed that Mac sounds are often slightly off-speed on a PC. Don't
  23. remember the numbers, but I seem to remember that 11k/sec sounds are
  24. really 11050/sec on the PC, but something else on the Mac, or something
  25. like that.  I'm sure someone out here knows more about this.
