  11. Dear ARDI,
  12.     I just picked up a copy of E/L 1.99m to upgrade from 1.99k. 
  13. Unfortunately, even though I untarred the files just as I had done with
  14. 1.99k and all the permissions were set just as I had them with 1.99k
  15. (actually, I used the -p switch with tar when I untarred both versions),
  16. 1.99m will not work.  I get as far as the splash screen where the program
  17. locks up.  I can move the mouse but neither of the screen buttons (demo or
  18. info) works.  I've played around with variables like -nosplash and
  19. -applzone but I still get the same result.

  21. I'm using kernel 1.1.75, XF86_3.1.1, S3 server on a Zeos 90 MHz Pentium
  22. box.  Any thoughts?

  24. BTW, I reinstalled 1.99k again, and it runs just as it did before.
