- This directory contains DOS specific files that are not installed when
- install.exe is run.
-
- The directory "demo" contains a Demonstration version of Executor that
- people can use to evaluate Executor's usefulness. It is included on
- this CD-ROM because some Executor owners are enthusiastic and like to
- demonstrate Executor to others.
-
- The "docs" directory contains documentation about Executor 2 and
- applications that run or don't run under Executor 2.
-
- The "floppies" directory contains files which can be copied onto
- floppies so that Executor can be installed from floppies instead of
- this CD-ROM. This is useful to people who want to install Executor on
- a floppyless laptop.
-
- The directory "library" contains a small assortment of Macintosh
- software. Please read the README.TXT in the library directory. Some
- of the software in the library has restrictions on how it can be used,
- and the README.TXT in the library directory explains the restrictions.
-
- The "source" directory is only of interest to programmers. It
- contains the source to some portions of Executor.
-
- The "upgrades" directory contains binary information that may be used
- when upgrades to Executor 2 are made available.
-
- The "SDD" directory contains SciTech Software's Display Doctor. If
- you don't already have a VESA 2 driver for your video card, Display
- Doctor may significantly speed up Executor's graphic performance.
- Please note that although we have included Display Doctor for your
- convenience, this is a shareware product produced by another company
- (http://www.scitechsoft.com is their web site). If Display Doctor
- solves compatibility problems for you, then you may want to continue
- using it for Executor and other programs. To register your copy of
- Display Doctor, follow the instructions on the screen during the
- installation process. Personally, we recommend you at least try
- Display Doctor if you play any of the Ambrosia games (Apeiron,
- Maelstrom or Swoop). In many cases it will make a big difference.
