  1. This directory is the top-most NEXTSTEP operating system specific
  2. directory.  In addition to this README file, this directory contains
  3. two other files and two subdirectories.
  4.  
  5. The file "install" is a shell script that installs the Executor on
  6. your hard disk.  It uses the file executor.tar and will install
  7. Executor for both Motorola and Intel architectures.

  9. NOTE:  "install" *must* be run as root.
  10.  
  11. The directory "extra" contains items that are not installed on your
  12. hard disk when you run install.  Some of the contents of "extra" are a
  13. many ".hqx" files just as they would appear if you were to download
  14. them from the internet or a Mac BBS and many HFV files that contain
  15. the expanded contents of the ".hqx" files.

  17. The directory "expanded" contains every file that the installer script
  18. install installs on your hard disk.  The contents of "expanded" can be
  19. useful when you want to revert a single file to the contents it had
  20. when it was originally installed but you don't want to do a complete
  21. reinstall.  You can NOT run executor directly from the CD-ROM.  It
  22. must be installed on a hard disk and registered first.
