The purpose of this NLM is to install the NetWare UNIX Client NLM on a NetWare server.
Before installation, the user may first remove a previous version, by selecting the option UNINSTALL.

A user attempting to perform installation for the first time, must select 'INSTALL'. This step will sequentially go through all the steps in the installation process. Help will be provided at each step (<F1> key).
The option 'UPGRADE' has been provided to enable an experienced user to skip some steps in the installation process, and perform only the steps desired.

This step will first remove an entry from the file 'AUTOEXEC.NCF'. This entry is the statement which loads the Unix Client NLM on the NetWare server. The uninstallation process will then delete all the NUC-Related files from the SYS:ETC directory.

The UPDATE option allow the user to perform only certain desired installation procedures.
The main options provided are file transfer, configuration setup and editing configuration files.

This step will add a statement to the 'autoexec.ncf' so that each time this server is booted, NUC.NLM will automatically be loaded.

This step will provide for the transfer of files from the source diskette to the NetWare partition.

This step will attempt to create the SYS:ETC subdirectory if it does not already exist.

This step will transfer the system files, the files pertaining to the NetWare server, which are not a part of the NetWare UNIX Client, to the NetWare partition.

This step will transfer all the NUC-Related NLMs and configuration files to the NetWare partition. page 1 of 1
Any changes to the parameters defined in the previous screen will be effected in the configuration files. The files that will be modified are:
1. autoexec.ncf
2. startup.ncf
3. nfsparam
To prevent the files from getting updated, select <NO> else, select <YES>.

The Help File is not present is SYS:SYSTEM.
An attempt will be made to transfer the file
from the floppy disk to SYS:ETC. You should
have the help screen when you run the program next.

1. The AUTOEXEC File
The file used while booting up the server.
2. The STARTUP File
The file used while booting up the server.

3. The NFSUSERS File
The file which contains an entry mapping
each NetWare user name to a corresponding
UNIX user ID number.
4. The NFSGROUP File
The file which contains an entry mapping
each NetWare group name to a corresponding
UNIX group ID number.
5. The NFSPARAM File
The file which contains the TIMEZONE
parameter that is used in converting
directory entry timestamps from local
time to GMT.

This portal contains the pathname of the STARTUP file on the DOS partition. This file will be modified during the installation process. Include the drive identifier while entering the pathname.

This item should contain the pathname of the directory containing the NetWare UNIX Client Installation files.
The files may reside on a floppy disk, in a subdirectory of a hard disk, or a subdirectory of a volume on this server. Include the entire pathname, including the drive identifier.
