  7.     RED DOG is an old west card game, also known as High Card Pool.  It was
  8.  played by cowboys in the 1800's.  It is a cross between twenty-one and poker.
  9.  
  10.     From one to four can play, with the computer as dealer.  The game uses a
  11.  standard deck of fifty-two cards with the ace as high card.

  13. ^CGetting Started
  14.  
  15.     The main menu allows three options:
  16.  
  17.                 P - Play the Game
  18.                 I - Display instructions for the Game
  19.                 Q - Quit
  20.  
  21.     Type P to play the game.
  22.  
  23.     Each player starts with $100 and the game ends when all players have lost
  24.  their money or cashed in.

  26. ^CThe Object of the Game
  27.  
  28.     For each hand, bet on whether one of the cards in your hand will be higher
  29.  than the card the computer-dealer turns up.  Bets may be from one dollar to
  30.  your total.

  32.     After a player bets, the computer-dealer turns up the next card.  If the
  33.  player has a card of the SAME SUIT and higher rank, he wins the amount of his
  34.  bet.  If he does not have a card of the same suit, or if it is a lower rank,
  35.  he loses.

  37. ^CEnding the Game
  38.  
  39.     When it is a player's turn, he may choose to "Cash In" his chips and leave
  40.  the game.  If all players cash in, or all players have lost all their money,
  41.  the game ends.
