  1.    Red Dog is an old west card game, 
  2. also known as High Card Pool.  It was 
  3. played by cowboys in the 1800's.  It's 
  4. a cross between twenty-one and poker.  
  5. From one to four can play.  The game 
  6. uses a standard deck of fifty-two 
  7. cards, with the ace as the high card.  
  8. .
  9.    Each player starts with $100.  You 
  10. bet an amount, from one dollar to your 
  11. total, that you can beat a card the 
  12. dealer turns up, with one of your five 
  13. cards.  After the player has bet, the 
  14. dealer turns up the next card.  If the 
  15. player has a card of the same suit and 
  16. a higher rank, he wins the amount of 
  17. his bet.  If he does not have a card of 
  18. the same suit, or if it is a lower 
  19. rank, he loses.

  21.    The game ends when all of the 
  22. players have lost all their money or 
  23. cash in their chips.
