Red Dog is an old west card game,
also known as High Card Pool. It was
played by cowboys in the 1800's. It's
a cross between twenty-one and poker.
From one to four can play. The game
uses a standard deck of fifty-two
cards, with the ace as the high card.
.
Each player starts with $100. You
bet an amount, from one dollar to your
total, that you can beat a card the
dealer turns up, with one of your five
cards. After the player has bet, the
dealer turns up the next card. If the
player has a card of the same suit and
a higher rank, he wins the amount of
his bet. If he does not have a card of
the same suit, or if it is a lower
rank, he loses.
.
The game ends when all of the
players have lost all their money or
cash in their chips.
