  7.     PHONE is a memory resident utility designed to manage lists of phone
  8.  numbers.  Once installed, PHONE uses about 25K of your computer's memory; just
  9.  press PHONE's user-selected "Hotkey" to view and edit lists of names and phone
  10.  numbers.  Each phone list can hold up to 100 names and numbers.  Multiple
  11.  phone lists may be stored on disk, too.

  13.     To install PHONE, type in ^1PHONE^0 at the DOS prompt.  At this point,
  14.  PHONE displays the Hotkey which controls the current phone list.  The default
  15.  Hotkey is <Ctrl>-<N>.

  17.     From the Phone List screen, you may add, change, or delete individual
  18.  "Name" and "Phone" entries.  Use the <PgUp> and <PgDn> keys to scroll through
  19.  the phone list.  Move between the "Name" and "Phone" blanks with the <ARROW
  20.  KEYS>.

  22.     To make an entry, type the person, company, etc. in "Name Field" and press
  23.  <ENTER>.  Then type in the area code and phone number.  Press <ENTER> after
  24.  the phone number has been entered.  The information is now recorded and the
  25.  highlight bar moves to the "Name Field" in the next column.

  27.     To edit an entry, simply highlight the appropriate field and type in the
  28.  changes or additions.  Phone numbers can be entered into either the American
  29.  Standard format [(###) ###-####] or the unconstrained Free Format; these
  30.  options are contained in F6 - Setup.

  32.     PHONE Command Keys and Functions:

  34.       F1 - Help:  Display Help Screen with a summary of commands.
  35.  
  36.       F2 - Sort:  Sort phone list alphabetically based on the first letter
  37.       in the "Name Field."
  38.  
  39.       F3 - Delete:  Delete the highlighted entry.  Highlight the entry
  40.       with the <ARROW KEYS>; press <ENTER> to delete the entry.

  42.       F4 - Files:  There are four selections available.  Use the <ARROW
  43.       KEYS> to choose a selection; press <ENTER> to make the selection.

  45.            1. LOAD A NEW FILE:  Enter the Path and File Name of file and
  46.            press <ENTER> to load file to screen.

  48.            2.  SAVE A CURRENT FILE:  Enter the Path and File Name of
  49.            current file and press <ENTER> to save a file.

  51.            3.  CLEAR FILE IN MEMORY:  Current list is cleared from memory
  52.            by pressing <ENTER>: does NOT erase or delete the file.

  54.            4.  EXIT:  Press <ENTER> to go back to current list.

  56.       F5 - Print:  Print the current phone list.  Type in the name, title,
  57.       or heading you wish to give the list and press <ENTER>.

  59.       F6 - Setup:  There are three selections available.  Use the <ARROW
  60.       KEYS> to choose a selection; press <ENTER> to make the selection.

  62.            1.  CHANGE HOTKEY:  Ten alternative Hotkeys are displayed.
  63.            Choose a selection with the <ARROW KEYS>; press <ENTER> to
  64.            make the selection.  The current Hotkey is displayed at the
  65.            bottom of the CHANGE HOT KEY screen.

  67.            2.  CHANGE NUMBER FORMAT:  Choose either the American Standard
  68.            or Free Form entry by highlighting your choice and then
  69.            pressing <ENTER>.

  71.            3.  EXIT:  Exit CHANGE HOT KEY screen back to PHONE.

  73.       ESC:  Press <ESC> to exit PHONE.  PHONE will warn you if the current
  74.       phone list has not saved so you will not accidently erase an
  75.       important file.

  77.     To run this program outside ^1Big Blue Disk^0, type: ^1PHONE^0.
