- Back in July 1984, CNW #1385 (owned by Mid-
- Continent Railway Museum) made an overnight lay over in
- Janesville, WI. An old high school friend of mine worked for the
- CNW so I got to photograph the early morning servicing. This
- picture was taken next to the old roundhouse.

- This locomotive is an R-1 Class, 4-6-0, built in
- 1907 by the American Locomotive Company at Schenectady, NY. It
- saw service on both a freight and passenger trains. In the late
- 1950's she saw service in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It was
- serviced at Stambaugh, at Ishpeming, and at Escanaba.
