- The file DGADIHDG.EXP is Protected mode ADI driver(ADI 4.2) that allows a
- Hitachi tablet listed below to interface with AutoDesk programs such as
- AutoCAD, AutoShade, or any other AutoDesk application software that can
- use a Protected-mode ADI digitizer.

- To install the DGADIHDG driver, you need to set the functions of Tablet by
- DIP swiches or Menu sheets.

- 1. For HDG-1111C with Pen/4-B cursor
- DSW1 - 1, 3 and 4 ; ON
- DSW2 - 3 and 5 ; ON
- DSW3 - All ; OFF
- If 12-B cursor is used, DSW3-4 must be ON.
- (Note) The HDG-1111C will be set as;
- 0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,
- 9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop
- ASCII format(Hitachi)

- 2. For HDG-1212D, 1515D, 1717D and 1217D
- DSW1 - all ; OFF
- (Note) The D-series tablet will be set as;
- 0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,
- 9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop
- ASCII format(Hitachi)

- 3. For HDG-2222 - HDG-4460 with DP004 I/F board
- MODE/RATE(DIP switch) - all ; OFF
- BAUDRATE(DIP switch) - 8 ; ON
- Jumper pin on the board - 1S and ASYNC(2) ; ON
- (Note) The large tablets with I/F board(DP004) will be set as;
- 0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,
- 9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop
- ASCII fotmat(Hitachi)

- 4. For HDG-2222S - HDG-4460S with DP401 I/F board
- DSW1 - all ; OFF
- DSW2 - 2 and 4 ; ON
- DSW3 - 1 and 2 ; ON
- (Note) The large tablets with I/F board(DP401) will be set as;
- 0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,
- 9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop
- ASCII fotmat(Hitachi)

- 5. For HDG-2222T - HDG-4460T
- HITACHI-1 Default
- (Note) The T-series large tablet will be set as;
- 0.001", RUN mode, Lower-left origin,
- 9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop,
- ASCII format(Hitachi)

- 6. For HDG-1212E
- HITACHI Default
- (Note) The HDG-1212E will be set as;
- 0.025mm, REMOTE mode, Lower-left origin,
- 9600bps, 7-data, Even parity, 1-stop
- ASCII format(Hitachi)

- NOTE for INSTALLING DRIVER
- ===========================
- The Hitachi Protected mode ADI driver(DGADIHDG.EXP) can be used with
- AutoCAD R11 and R12. But you have to set the different environment
- for R11 and R12.

- 1. Installing the Protected mode ADI driver under AutoCAD R11
- ==============================================================
-
- After copying the DGADIHDG.EXP from "Hitachi drivers" diskette to
- the AutoCAD root directory(ex;C:\acadr11), type the following to install
- Protected mode ADI driver at DOS prompt.
-
- set DGPADI=C:\ACADR11\DGADIHDG
-
- You should add the environment variable DGPADI into the startup batch.file
- (ex;acad386) so that the driver is loaded whenever you start the AutoCAD R11.
-
-
- For example, follow the step listed below to install and use Protected
- mode driver under AutoCAD R11.
-
- (1). Insert "Hitachi drivers" diskette into drive A:.
-
- (2). Copy the Protected mode ADI driver from the diskette to your AutoCAD R11
- root directory(ex; C:\ACADR11).
-
- COPY A:DGADIHDG.EXP C:\ACADR11
-
- (3). Enter the following command at DOS prompt.
-
- SET DGPADI=C:\ACADR11\DGADIHDG
-
- (Note) Add this line to AutoCAD R11 startup batch file(acad386.bat),
- if you want to set automatically.
-
- (4). Type acad386 to run AutoCAD R11.
-
- (5). Choose "5. Configure AutoCAD" on the main menu.
-
- (6). You will see Current AutoCAD Configuration.
- Press Enter key to continue.
-
- (7). Choose "4. Configure digitizer" on the Configuration menu.
-
- (8). Enter "y" to select a different digitizer.
-
- (9). Choose "2. ADIP386 digitizer" on the available digitizers list.
-
- (10). Choose the digitizer model you are using from the Supported models
- list.

- 2. Installing the Protected mode ADI driver under AutoCAD R12
- =============================================================

- After copying the DGADIHDG.EXP from "Hitachi Driver" diskette to
- the AutoCAD R12 drivers directory(ex;C:\acadr12\drv), type AutoCAD startup
- batch file(ex;acadr12) to install Protected mode ADI driver and to run
- AutoCAD R12.

- (Note)
- The installation program of AutoCAD R12 will make a startup batch file
- (ex;acadr12.bat) to set the environment for the protected mode ADI driver.
- You will see the following line in the batch file.
-
- set ACADDRV=C:\ACADR12\DRV
-
- You should copy the DGADIHDG.EXP to C:\ACADR12\DRV directory.
-

- For example, follow the step listed below to install and use Protected
- mode driver under AutoCAD R12.

- (1). Insert "Hitachi Driver" diskette into drive A:.

- Press Enter key to continue.

- (6). Choose "4. Configure digitizer" on the Configuration menu.

- (7). Enter "y" to select a different digitizer.

- (8). Choose "6. Hitachi Protected mod ADI driver" on the available
- digitizers list.

- (9). Choose the digitizer model you are using from the Supported models

- using the DGADIHDG.EXP driver with Standard configuration(i.e., unmodified
- acad.mnu file) of AutoCAD.
- This button mapping may be modified by editing the acad.mnu file.
