  9.    If you're like many people, you have trouble keeping track of where your 
  10. money goes.  You may have ideas of keeping a household budget, but have 
  11. trouble keeping track of all expenses.  And balancing the checkbook is a major 
  12. monthly chore.  If so, then this program is for you.  But even if you've been 
  13. keeping to an orderly budget, this program may help you implement it more 
  14. easily and efficiently.  You just tell it where the money is coming and going 
  15. as it happens, and your PC takes care of the mathematics and data sorting.

  17.    Check King is a powerful program that keeps track of your finances by 
  18. tracking money entering or leaving your checking account.  This lets you keep 
  19. your checkbook balanced, and helps you stick to budgets by keeping track of 
  20. expenses by category.  It operates using a friendly series of menus, so it 
  21. shouldn't be hard for you to figure out how to navigate through the program.  
  22. However, a full manual, explaining all the features of Check King, is on this 
  23. disk.  The manual may be printed out by typing ^1PRINTMAN^0 with disk 2 of 
  24. this issue in your current default drive.  If you have an Epson compatible 
  25. printer, you will get the manual printed out in elite font by entering 
  26. ^1PRINTMAN E^0.  If you do not have an Epson compatible, I recommend that you 
  27. initialize your printer to Elite font from BASIC or some utility which you may 
  28. own.  Then, enter, ^1PRINTMAN N^0.

  30.    When you start up Check King, it will ask for a drive letter.  Type the 
  31. letter of the drive on which you wish to create your data files.  It is 
  32. recommended that you use a disk other than BIG BLUE DISK, since there isn't much 
  33. free space on the issue.  Then, the first time you run it, you will be prompted 
  34. for information needed to create a new data file.  Answer questions 
  35. appropriately; this brings you to the main menu, from which you can invoke any 
  36. of the commands.  See the manual for more details.

  38.    Check King is normally considered a "shareware" program.  This means that 
  39. the author expects satisfied users to reward him with registration payments.  
  40. However, we at BIG BLUE DISK have made special arrangements for the shareware 
  41. fees to be waived in the case of purchasers of BIG BLUE DISK.  If you obtained 
  42. the program through a subscription or retail purchase of BIG BLUE DISK, you 
  43. are not under any legal or moral obligation to send any money to the author; 
  44. enjoy the program on us with a clear conscience.  If you copied it from a 
  45. friend, however, you are requested to register your copy.  See the READ_ME 
  46. file for more details.
