  10. It had to happen sometime!  Here is JPEGView 3.2.1, the first-ever
  11. maintenance release of JPEGView.  Version 3.2.1 addresses several bugs that
  12. were found in the release version of JPEGView 3.2, and adds a
  13. PowerPC-native version of the JPEGView JFIF Preview extension.  A patch
  14. file for the 680x0-only version of JPEGView 3.2 is also being made
  15. available at this time.

  17. In keeping with the wishes of the moderators of our wonderful archive
  18. sites, I am now shipping only the fat binary version of JPEGView 3.2.1.
  19. This version will work great on all machines, 680x0 or PowerPC.  If you are
  20. concerned about download time, you can FTP to guru.med.cornell.edu, and
  21. look in the /pub/jpegview directory for 680x0- and PowerPC-specific
  22. versions.  You can also check out the JPEGView WWW page at
  23. html://guru.med.cornell.edu/jpegview.html.

  25. Specifically, here is what's fixed in JPEGView 3.2.1:

  27. 1. No more random crashes, especially when loading JFIF files on 680x0 machines.
  28. 2. Drawing interlaced GIF images in bands now works properly.
  29. 3. Invalid files at the end of a slide show shouldn't cause bus errors anymore.
  30. 4. Running a slide show from memory should now work as advertised.
  31. 5. The preference to save JFIFs as PICTs by default now works correctly.
  32. 6. Scanning for image files can no longer mistype files by mistake.
  33. 7. Modified CCITT RLE-compressed TIFF's are no longer displayed inverted.
  34. 8. The fat binary version of JPEGView no longer keeps 68k code in memory.
  35. 9. EasyOpen resources were altered to allow drag and drop of any file type.
