  122. IMPORTANT: WinKillr is a Microsoft Visual Basic program and requires that
  123. the file VBRUN300.DLL be in the /WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory (or elsewhere
  124. on the path) of your computer.  This file is widely available and hence,
  125. because of its very large size, is not distributed with WinKillr as part
  126. of the KILLR_11.ZIP or KILLR.ZIP archive.  It is available on CompuServe
  127. in the WinUtil Forum, Library 1 as VBRUN3.ZIP.  It is also available from
  128. virtually every other bulletin board and catalog operation in the world.
  129. Do not proceed with the installation of WinKillr until you have verified
  130. that this file is in your /WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory OR you are installing
  131. from a disk received directly from Open Windows!!

  134. To install WinKillr from a floppy disk received from Open Windows:

  136. 1.  While in Windows, insert the floppy disk in the drive.

  138. 2.  Open File Manager and select the floppy disk.

  140. 3.  Double click on the file OWSETUP.EXE to run it.

  142. 4.  Follow the on-screen directions.

  145. To install WinKillr starting with only a copy of KILLR_11.ZIP
  146. (KILLR.ZIP  if obtained from CompuServe):

  148. 1.  Create a temporary directory (C:\KILLTEMP will do) on your hard
  149. drive.

  151. 2.  Copy KILLR_11.ZIP to this directory.

  153. 3.  Unzip the file using WinZip or other "UNZIPper".  This should
  154. produce the files listed in the packing list above.

  156. 4.  Run SETUPWK.EXE from Windows.  This will take you through the
  157. procedure of installing WinKillr on your hard disk.

  159. 5.  You may delete all of the files in the temporary directory from your
  160. hard drive after completing the installation process, but remember to
  161. save a copy of KILLR_11.ZIP on a floppy for friends who may wish to try
  162. WinKillr.
