The net droops slightly in the middle and is higher at both ends. It is constructed so that the ball cannot go through it and is suspended from a cord that is attached to 3'6" (1.1 m) high posts on either side of the court, while the middle is secured by a strap to the ground, 3' (0.9 m) high. These posts are secured in the ground 3' (0.9 m) outside the court.
