OBJECTIVE
The objective of FaceTrex is to push the various faces on the board,
so that they are placed on top of their negative image.
PUSHING/SLIDING FACES
The Red tile with the walking man, is used to push the faces into the
proper positions. You use your <Arrow Keys> to move the man around
the board. When you push a face tile, it will slide in that direction
until it either hits another face or the side of the game board. Some
puzzles have arrows on them which will re-direct the push in the
direction the arrow is pointing. The idea is to properly place all
the faces onto their negative images to solve each puzzle.
There are 7 different faces which can appear on the game board.
OTHER OBJECTS
On some puzzles there are Green Blocks called Moving Blocks. These
blocks will not slide when pushed, they will simply move one grid
in the direction they are pushed. These are very useful for
positioning the faces onto their negative images.
On many of the puzzles there are Black Grids called Holes. These are
like walls and cannot be moved.
PLACING FACES
Once a face has been properly pushed onto its negative image, it can
no longer be moved. It is essential that you know you will not need it
to help in placing the remaining faces.
SOLUTIONS
The solutions to the first 5 of the 25 puzzles have been provided for
you in this Shareware version of FaceTrex. You can see the solution
by pressing the <O>ption key and selecting <Solutions> from the Option
Menu. You can abort the solution while it is playing by pressing the
<Esc> key. There is at least one solution for each of the 25 puzzles
provided.
SELECTING PUZZLES
You can select a puzzle by pressing the <S>elect Puzzle key.
Generally the puzzles get harder as you go along, yet you can access
any of the 25 puzzles in any order you desire. Next to the puzzle
number is the puzzle's status. It will say UNSOLVED until you complete
the puzzle. When a puzzle has been solved, the word UNSOLVED will
change to *SOLVED*. The number of times you have tried to solve each
puzzle is shown next to the puzzle's status.
