follows:
A - Answer Questionnaire -- answer questionnaires on multiple topics
C - Comment for SYSOP -- private message to RBBS operator
D - Doors - run non-RBBS programs
I - Initial welcome message -- repeat of log on welcome message
J - Join a conference -- change to a new message base
O - Operator page -- pages SYSOP for 30 seconds
W - Who -- see who else is on RBBS-PC (RBBS can support up to 36 callers)
Each commmand will be discussed in detail in the following sections.

{C4A{C0)nswer: The "A" command takes you to the Answer Questionnaire System.
"Questionnaires" may be listed that cover many different and varied topics.
It is also possible that the SYSOP does not have any questionnaires for
users. In this case just press [ENTER] to return to the Main Menu.
Questionnaires may ask any questions that the SYSOP feels are necessary to
satisfy the reason for making the questionnaire available. Subjects such
as Politics, Sex and Religion plus any other that the SYSOP may dream up
can be available.
When programming the questionnaire the SYSOP has the ability to allow a
user to exit the questionnaire without recording any of the responses but
the activation of this feature is totally up to the SYSOP. If the SYSOP
elects a user "MUST" complete a questionnaire to be able to return to the
Main Menu. The only other alternative would be for the user to disconnect.
The SYSOP also has the ability to raise or lower a users security access
level based on the responses to questions.
All in all the A)nswer feature is a way for the SYSOP to get specific
feedback from users.

{C4C{C0)omment: You can use the C)omment command to leave a brief message to the
RBBS-PC SYSOP. Only the SYSOP can read messages entered by the "C" command.
The sysop can specify whether comments go into the message file, that makes
it each to reply to, or to a separate C)omments file. You will be told if
the sysop cannot reply when you leave a comment.
Press the [Enter] key twice when you finish typing your comment. This will
bring up the editor command line. You must issue the "S" or S)ave command
if you want your comment to remain on the system to be read.
{C3TIPS:{C0
1. RBBS-PC provides you with two additional ways of contacting the SYSOP.
You can use the E)nter command to leave a message or you can page the SYSOP
by issuing the O)perator command.
2. Most SYSOPs are eager to know how you feel about their bulletin boards.
You can use the C)omment command to leave private comments to the SYSOP.
If you want to allow others to read you comments, perhaps to stimulate
discussion, leave a public message instead.

{C4D{C0)oors: The "D" command takes you to the Door System. "Doors" are
applications external to RBBS-PC that a SYSOP sets up so that users who call
in can exit to them and then return to RBBS-PC. RBBS-PC only acts as a
"gateway" to a "door."
A "door" can be any application written in any language (i.e. on-line ordering,
on-line games, on-line data bases, etc.).
Because the input and output is via the communications port such applications
are restricted to a line-at-a-time input and output.
Some SYSOP's have "doors" that move the caller's cursor around on the screen
rather than just scroll each line away. This full screen mode requires that
the caller's communication package support the same conventions for moving the
cursor around on the screen as the particular "door" that was invoked follows.
Many packages support a "graphics" or "ANSI" mode that is commonly used.

{C4I{C0)nitial: The "I" command redisplays the welcome screen that you saw
when you logged on RBBS-PC. Sometimes this screen had information you might
decide you need, such as a voice number for calling the SYSOP.
{C4J{C0)oin: The "J" command provides you passage from the Main Menu or Message
System to the Conference System.
You will be presented with a list of conferences after you deliver the "J"
command. You can then type in the name of the conference you wish to join,
or press L)ist to get the list again, or ENTER to exit the conference
command.
{C3TIPS:{C0
1. RBBS-PC offers both public and private teleconferencing capabilities.
Any caller who has been assigned a sufficiently high security level can
join a public conference. Only a predetermined group of users, usually
designated by a conference leader, can participate in a private conference.
2. You can go directly from the Main Menu into a conference by entering
"J;" and the conference name. For example, you could enter the "TECH"
conference with the following command: "J;TECH".

3. You will not see a list of available conferences if you enter the
Conference System while in the Expert Mode. Enter an "L" to get the
conference list.
4. You can perform a valuable service by using the comment or message
functions to suggest teleconference topics to the SYSOP.
{C4O{C0)perator: You can page the SYSOP by giving the "O" command. This will beep
the speaker on the SYSOP's computer. You will be able to "chat" with the
SYSOP via your respective keyboards after the page is answered.
{C3TIPS:{C0
1. Leave a C)omment or E)nter a message for the SYSOP if a page is
unsuccessful.
{C4W{C0)ho else: The "W" command tells you who else is (are) logged onto the RBBS-PC
system at the current time. Some RBBS-PC systems can support up to 36 callers
at once. If so, you will see the name and node of all callers.
{C3TIPS:{C0
1. If there is only one node on the system, RBBS-PC will display your name.

2. RBBS-PC will list the last caller on each node. The call will be listed
as "active" if the caller is still connected.
This concludes this tutorial on Miscellaneous functions. Please feel free to
direct any questions to the System Operator.
