Box 1248 Aspen CO 81612 Meet at 8:15 a.m. (conditions permitting) ~ Includes lift and lunch (does not include instruction). Guest will ride up gondola to meet the snowcats on top and depart for a day of skiing open bowls and glades. Break midday for lunch and then continue skiing until returning to the top of the mountain at 3:30 p.m. to ride down on the gondola or ski down Aspen Mountain. Skiers will average 9,000 vertical feet per day, twelve hundred acres of available terrain.
Tours ski a wide variety of terrain and snow conditions. Skiers should be strong intermediates to experts (preferably with a sense of adventure). Groups consist of up to 10 people with 2 guides per group. An attempt is made to group people with similar skiing abilities.
ASC maintains the right to cancel any trip at its discretion and will fully refund any charges when it does so. ASC may also rearrange trip dates (reservations) to maintain consistency within a group which may result in an individual getting "bumped". In this instance any charges will be fully refunded or transferred to another date.

If we have to cancel a tour due to snow conditions or mechanical problems, the guest will receive a full refund. Clothing and Equipment: Wear what you would for a normal ski day on the mountain. There is space on the snowcats for additional items such as cameras, suntan lotion, extra hats, gloves, and goggles. Soft skis make for more fun and control in soft snow. You might like to bring a pair of powder skis ("fat sticks") along. Powder skis can be rented by reservations at Pomeroy sports (303-925-7875), located directly across Durant Street from the Silver Queen Gondola.

Usually there are a number of groups to accommodate the varying levels. A solid focus on technique and individual improvement. At Aspen Mountain there are usually only 3-4 groups per week. Aspen Mountain takes people who are strong intermediate skiers and up.
Mountain Masters is enjoying a steady increase in popularity. There is a strong sense of camaraderie and group spirit that emerges from its classes. People often book the same instructor, the same week each year. The average group consists of 5-7 students.

Lessons for children are divided into three categories, Mini Mice, Mogul Mice, and SuperStars, based on experience, age and ability. The all-day programs include organized activities in a supervised playroom when not skiing. Mini Mice and Mogul Mice receive individual guidance in learning how to stop on skis using our revolutionary Wedge Machines and Learning Decks. They also get to ride our Magic Carpet lift. SuperStars are skiers who can stop independently and ride the chairlifts.
Ages 6 - 12:
Children are divided into Discoverer, Explorer and Black Diamond Club groups by ability and age to ensure fun and continued learning. All-day classes offer a fun-filled mountain experience and include visits to our Children's Adventure Mountains and a special race on Thursdays with ribbons for all participants. Lunch time is supervised by instructors; children should bring lunch money.
Snowboarding Programs:
Snowboard instruction is available for children six years and older at Golden Peak, Lionshead and Beaver Creek Resort. Beginners learn the basics of balance, control and turning. Experienced riders learn techniques for carving turns, riding bumps, powder or free-style. All-day and half-day lessons are offered.
Teen Programs:
Special versions of adult all-day class programs, designed for intermediate and advanced young skiers between 13 and 18 years old, are offered at Golden Peak, Lionshead and Beaver Creek Resort during periods of high demand only. For information, call the Teen Activity Line, 303-479-4090.
Small World Play School--Nursery and Preschool Programs for Non-Skiers:
Our specially trained and dedicated staff provides excellent care for children ages two months to three years while parents are skiing. This program offers an excellent opportunity for back country enthusiasts to improve their skills before venturing into Aspen's Wilderness Areas and vast back country hut system.
With several instructors available, clinics can be divided by ability if necessary telemark classes are fairly active, so it is recommended that students dress in several comfortable layers. Alpine ski poles are okay. Goggles or sunglasses are very important as is sunscreen.
Special clinics will be offered throughout the season in conjunction with Winterskol and local clinics. Telemark gate racing clinics will also be scheduled at the new Eagle Hill Race Arena at Tiehack.
Equipment:
It is best for skiers to use waxable, metal edged skis and telemark boots, not cross-country shoes.
Rental:

Beyond First Time on skis beginner refers to anyone who has skied 2-3 days on the easy Green circle runs. We usually recommend the intermediate classes to anyone who has skied a week or so. We either utilize a video split or the supervisors watch everyone make some turns and group accordingly.

Reservations Suggested ~ A very special four day program geared for intermediate to advanced level ADULT skiers. Features small groups with the same instructor each day (no adding on of new people after a group is formed), videotaping sessions, racing, a picnic on the mountain and a party at the end. Usually there are a number of groups to accommodate the varying levels. A solid focus on technique and individual improvement. Snowmass offers more varieties of levels, from intermediate, level 5 and up. At Aspen Mountain there are usually only 3-4 groups per week. Aspen Mountain takes people who are strong intermediate skiers and up.
Mountain Masters is enjoying a steady increase in popularity. There is a strong sense of camaraderie and group spirit that emerges from its classes. People often book the same instructor, the same week each year. The average group consists of 5-7 students.
12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ~ The Powder Workshops will be held (conditions permitting) usually in 5-6" of new snow. As with all special workshops, there is a three person minimum. Although if only 1-2 persons show up, the instructor may go out with them for an hour.

Lessons for children are divided into three categories, Mini Mice, Mogul Mice, and SuperStars, based on experience, age and ability. The all-day programs include organized activities in a supervised playroom when not skiing. Mini Mice and Mogul Mice receive individual guidance in learning how to stop on skis using our revolutionary Wedge Machines and Learning Decks. They also get to ride our Magic CarpetÖ lift. SuperStars are skiers who can stop independently and ride the chairlifts.
Ages 6 - 12:
Children are divided into Discoverer, Explorer and Black Diamond Club groups by ability and age to ensure fun and continued learning. All-day classes offer a fun-filled mountain experience and include visits to our Children's Adventure Mountains and a special race on Thursdays with ribbons for all participants. Lunch time is supervised by instructors; children should bring lunch money.
Snowboarding Programs:
Snowboard instruction is available for children six years and older at Golden Peak, Lionshead and Beaver Creek Resort. Beginners learn the basics of balance, control and turning. Experienced riders learn techniques for carving turns, riding bumps, powder or free-style. All-day and half-day lessons are offered.
Teen Programs:
Special versions of adult all-day class programs, designed for intermediate and advanced young skiers between 13 and 18 years old, are offered at Golden Peak, Lionshead and Beaver Creek Resort during periods of high demand only. For information, call the Teen Activity Line, 303-479-4090.
Small World Play School--Nursery and Preschool Programs for Non-Skiers:
Our specially trained and dedicated staff provides excellent care for children ages two months to three years while parents are skiing. Separate, colorful playrooms with low child/teacher ratios are provided for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. For the convenience of nursing mothers, the centers are located near the mountain. The NSCD began in 1970 with 23 amputee children from Children's Hospital in Denver taking ski lessons at Winter Park.
Each year more than 2,500 participants take more than 17,000 lessons to learn to improve their skiing.
In 1984, a competition program was established to provide race training and coaching for disabled skiers competing in regional, national and international competition.
The cost of a half-day (3 hour) private lesson, lift ticket and adaptive equipment is $40. Cost of a lift ticket is only $18.

Group Lessons:
Group Lessons offer students companionship and fun in an atmosphere of learning. Group size averages 7-10 people and they are formed according to ability after a short skiing assessment is made. First time beginner skiers receive a complimentary lift pass on first day of skiing for First Time lift only. All other group lessons require a day pass. You may choose between a 4-Hour All Day Lesson (with a mid-day break), or a 2-Hour Half Day Lesson (afternoons only).

Called "It's Never Too Late," the program is designed to meet the interest and capabilities of those who want to experience the fun, exhilaration, healthful exercise and companionship of skiing.

|"UT08K004 UT08K004 ~ Kinderschule Ski School 800 227-2SKI 6 ~ 1345 Lowell Avenue Park City UT 84060 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. ~ Our Kinderschule program combines ski instruction with active indoor recreation and fun preschool-oriented activities. The daily lessons are geared for the advanced skier as well as a fun introduction to skiing for the first timers. The beginning teaching area is located at the base and the children progress to appropriate terrain and lifts according to their ability.
All Kinderschule lessons include lift privileges during the lesson times. Children will need to have skis and boots with them at check-in time.
Private lessons are recommended for three year olds. Children must be three years old and toilet trained before they can be enrolled in Kinderschule.
Kinderschule offers a semi-private lesson package for three year olds and other children with special needs when it comes to being introduced to the sport of skiing. These classes are sold on a reservation basis only.
Wednesdays are a special day with a race course set up for wedge turn levels and above. Parents are invited to watch the race and then return to the Kinderschule for a Party to celebrate a terrific week of skiing.
Prepaid reservations for Kinderschule are strongly suggested throughout the season and required during peak periods.

Mountain Adventure
Mountain Adventure is for skiers at the beginning wedge christie level, or better. These classes ski anywhere on the mountain within the skiers' abilities. The lesson runs from 10:00 am-Noon, and 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and includes all regular Kinderschule activities and a lift pass.

Mountain Experience Class:
Mountain Experience is for high intermediate and advanced skiers. In the company of an Instructor/ Guide, it is a four hour excursion into the high bowls, the glades, and the lightly-frequented runs that are a lesser known but highly enjoyable part of the Park City experience.

Kristi's philosophy is simple: A person becomes a better skier by skiing - lots of skiing. Add expert instruction and personal coaching from Kristi and her all-women team of PSIA-certified instructors and the result is increased confidence, honed skiing skills, and most important, big fun in a supportive environment.

Pre-Ski (3 years):
In the Pre-Ski program, children 3 years old learn to love skiing in a secure and inspiring environment. Through games on and off the snow, children are introduced to the sport--it's an exciting way to learn to ski. Pre-Ski is located at the Sugarbush Day School, in Sugarbush Village.
Minibear Ski Program (4-5 years):
Children receive one or two lessons a day on their own private slope, and have plenty of time for games, crafts, and other stimulating activities. Located at the state-licensed Sugarbush Day School; full-and half-day sessions available. Equipment is included.
Sugarbear Ski Program (6-11 years):
The Sugarbear program offers full- and half-day sessions on everything from beginner basics to managing moguls to mountain safety.
Catamount Ski Program (12-16 years):
The Catamount program offers everything from beginner lessons to advanced skills programs--for skiing or snowboarding--in special two-hour sessions. (Morning and afternoon sessions may also be combined for an intense four hours of instruction.)
Sugarbear Forest:
Children have fun in the Sugarbear Forest while they learn how to ski. Featuring bumps, contoured turns, tunnels, snow mountains, an interpretive nature trail, and even a ski-through Vermont covered bridge, the forest is home to Mogul Mouse, Sugar Bear and other friendly forest characters. Adults must be accompanied by children.

Targhee's powder cats pamper powderhounds with 1,500 acres, 2,400 vertical feet of unsurpassed scenery and snow conditions. The longest powder run on Peaked is 3.2 miles in length. This unique powder experience is offered seven days a week (snow conditions permitting).
Two snowcats and more additional terrain are available during peak season, allowing experts to rack up the vertical feet, while advanced intermediates keep their own pace in the deep powder. Don't forget to take your Powder Plus skis along. (Rentals are also available.)
Each powder cat takes 10 skiers a day plus a guide and ski patrol person. Reservations are required as space is limited. Sign up at Targhee's activity center on the Main Plaza. Skiers can anticipate eight to ten runs a day, which is approximately 10-20,000 vertical feet. Great terrain for snowboarders and telemark skiers, too!
