Woman Rescued After Being Buried Under Debris Over 33 Hours .CONTINUING clearing work af OL: 90: the centres bombed by enemy planes during Thursday's raid on this city, members of the Syonan Sports Association's "Special For. ward Service Corps" effected an- other miraculous rescue late Frida. night when they extricated from beneath the wreckage of a destroy- ed house a Chinese woman who had been buried for over 33 hours. Of the maid-servant class, the woman, was practically except for some bruises. unharmed, and though very weak and badly shock- ed was able to mumble a few words of thanks to her tescuers, She was immediately taken to hospital, where Her condition is believed to be satisfactory. THANKED BY KOSEI-KA CHO The rescue was made shortly after nine o'clock following the resump- tion of clearing work by the Corps members, who were relleving other rescue squads formed by the mill- tary. The Corps members worked throughout the night until mid- night, clearing debris at the various residential centres indiscriminately bombed by the enemy planes. Meanwhile, it is learned that & letter of commendation has been received by the Corps from the Kosel-ka Cho for the splendid work done by the Corps members imme. diately following the enemy raid on Thursday.
