Labels:text | newspaper | font | black and white | white | publication | document OCR: Malai Kosei Kyokai Formed In Syonan THE MAYOR of Syonan has formed the Syonan Malai Kosei Kyckai (Syonan Malai Welfare Association) to look after all the non-political interests cf the Malai community in the islands, the Syonan Sinbun understands. In an interview with the General- Secretary of the Association, it Was stated that all members of the Malaf community in Syonan automatically become members of the Association. Syonan Malais are informed that all matters concerning the community like mass meetings, etc ., must be referred to the General-Secretary who, will, in turn, refer the matter to the authori- ties The office of the General- Secretary is at 368 -Victoria Street. Meanwhile, the following bearers have been appointed by the office- Mayor, Syonan Tokubetu-si, President of the Tungku Abdul Kadir Aksociation: Tungku bin Ahmad; Hussein bin Vice-President All; General- Secretary, Tuan Onan bin Siraj. In addition. Haji Tuan Ibrahim bin Haji Yacob, the leader of the Ma'al community. has been appointed adviser to the Association. Members of the Committee, appoint- ed of the three officials nominated by Mayor, are Tuan Haji Embo' Soolooh (Treasurer), Tuan Daud bin Mohammed Dr. Shah, Tuan Ishak bin Haji Mohammed, Mahy addin Gaus and Tuan Zainu'abidin of the Fajar Asia.
