OCR: II. Q Do I get a uniform? A Yes. Uniforms will be provided as soon as possible. 12. Q What about badges? A You will receive a Corps badge after you have completed your preliminary training. 13. Q Do I get compensation if I am hurt? A Yes. Benefits in respect of injury, disablement or death directly attributable to training or service in the Corps will be payable in accordance with a Personal Injuries Scheme. 14. Q Do I get any medical benefits or hospital concessions? A All ranks will be eligible for free medical attention in Government hospitals during continuous training periods and for injuries and illness directly attributable to service in the Corps. All ranks and their families are eligible for attention at reduced rates when attending Government hospitals subject to their obtaining a Certificate of Pro- ficiency from the Civil Defence Commissioner. 15. Q How much service would I have to give in war-time? A Not less than 48 hours a month. 16. Q Do I have to serve away from Home? . A No. 17. Q Would there be opportunities for whole-time service in war? A Yes. In most Sections of the Corps. 18. Q How do I join? A Go to any Post Office, get an enrolment form, fill in accordingly and send it to the Commissioner of Civil Defence.
