OCR: TOY BIRDS In the 1900s, moving figures such as these gooselike birds were popular in Burma (now Myanmar) in Southeast Asia. They were used in puppet shows and as children's toys. The birds' bodies are made of papier- mâché, which is constructed by layering paper and glue over a solid mold (probably an egg in this case). The head, neck, and legs of the birds are wooden.
