OCR: SHOW ME HOW The six skeletons displayed are progressively harder to complete if excavated in the following order, but you can choose to complete them in any order that you wish: The six dinosaur Edmontonia, Triceratops, skeletons Heterodontosaurus, Herrerasaurus Dilophosaurus, Tyrannosaurus. The excavation shaft has three tunnels, each at a different depth. You are advised to search all three tunnels to find the missing bones for each dinosaur. The game will be saved automatically as you play. To select a skeleton, click on any of the six fossilized skeletons displayed in front of you. The skeleton will then be shown at full screen size. Click on the magnifier cursor to zoom in, then roll over the Skeleton shown at edge of the viewing frame to scroll full screen size around to view the missing bones. Use the cursor to roll over the gaps in the skeleton where the shapes of the missing bones are shown in outline. As you do so, each bone is identified as its name is highlighted on the appropriate container. Missing bones are shown in outline You can also access Excavation Notes by clicking on the dinosaur's nameplate, or the notebook icon. These will provide - you with relevant clues to help you in your search. Excavation Notes To excavate your chosen dinosaur, click EXCAVATE and you will be ready to begin your search. If you decide not to excavate that dinosaur, click DON'T EXCAVATE, and select another one. Excavate and Don't Excavate options You are now ready to descend into one of the three tunnels in the excavation shaft. Click on the down arrow on the elevator control to descend. (Your position in the excavation shaft is Elevator control indicated by the red ball.) Or, you can drag the ball to any tunnel, or to the bottom tunnel if you want to go straight there. Once you have reached your chosen tunnel, the "Dinosaur Regenerator" machine can be moved to the left or right. Use the control levers on either side of the console to move along the Control levers tunnel. The cursor will change to a pick as you roll over a bone buried in the wall. Click to reveal the bone. Excavating a bone To date the bone and find out whether it is part of your chosen skeleton, click on SCAN. The age of the bone will be displayed in the read-out panel at the top of the console. Using the Scan button If you wish to keep the bone, click on it and drag it to the appropriate container. If you do not wish to keep the bone, click DISCARD. Dragging the bone into a container If you have already put, for example, a femur in a container, but you have found another femur which you think is more likely to be the correct one, just drag the unwanted bone out of the container, Discarding a bone onto the wall, and click DISCARD. Once you have collected all the bones that you need, click on the UP arrow on the elevator control to return to the surface. Or, if you are in a lower tunnel, drag the red ball to the top. Using the elevator control To place a bone in the skeleton, roll the cursor over a container, click and drag the bone out, and onto the appropriate part of the skeleton. If the bone is correct, it will snap into place. Placing the bones If the bone is correct for the skeleton, but it has been placed incorrectly, it will snap back into its container. If the bone is completely wrong, it will snap back into its container. When you next descend to the tunnels, drag the bone from its container and click DISCARD. It will return to its original position in the rock. To find more bones, you can return to the tunnels and repeat the excavation process.
