Labels:text | man | screenshot | human face | clothing | person OCR: JAN OORT JAN HENDRIK OORT was the Dutch- born astronomer who, along with the Swedish astronomer Bertil Linblad (1895-1965), proved by observation that the Milky Way Galaxy rotates. Oort went on to establish the position and movement of the Solar System in the Milky Way Galaxy and was the first person to chart the Milky Way's spiral arms. He also proposed that comets originate from a vast collection of small bodies that orbit the Sun at a distance of about 1 light year.
