OCR: C MAP VENUS ASTRONOMICAL SYMBOL VENUS, THE SECOND PLANET from the Sun, is a rocky sphere blanketed by dense, yellowish clouds. These clouds reflect a lot of sunlight, making Venus the brightest object in the sky after the Sun and Moon. Venus's thick atmosphere makes a hot, suffocating world: surface temperatures reach 480 ℃ (896 ºF), and the atmospheric pressure is 90 times that on Earth. The clouds' yellow color is caused by sulfuric acid. The levels of this acid vary, which suggests that some volcanoes on Venus may still be active.
