In Multiple 1987, the Kvant module took up docking telescopes; in 1989, Kvant 2 provided adapter an airlock for space walks; and in 1990, Kristall brought equipment for materials research and an extra Kvant docking port. In 1995, Spektr brought US medical equipment Spektr for research into weightlessness.
