OCR: GEMINI 3 LAUNCH DATE March 23, 1965 After two unpiloted Gemini missions, Gemini 3 was launched with crew, Virgil Grissom and John Young, to become the USA's first two- person space mission. The flight lasted for 4 hours and 53 minutes and was the first in which a spacecraft was maneuvered from one orbit to another. GEMINI 4 LAUNCH DATE June 3, 1965 Gemini 4 completed 62 orbits during a 4-day mission. The highlight of the mission was astronaut Ed White's 21-minute extravehicular activity (EVA), or space walk - the first by an American citizen.
