  6. FILE_ID.DIZ  =  A description file used in BBS programs.
  7. HISTORY.TXT  =  The history of the Mr. Machinist program.
  8. INSTALL.EXE  =  The install program.
  9. MRMORDER.DOC =  The order form to register the program.
  10. K0203.TXT    =  A sample CNC milling G and M code file.
  11. MRM.EXE      =  The main executable file.
  12. MRMANUAL.DOC =  The Mr. Machinist manual.
  13. MRMHELP.HLP  =  The help file, used with main program.
  14. README.TXT   =  Your reading me!
  15. WHATSNEW.TXT =  New things happening in Mr. Machinist!
  16. COMPSERV.REG =  Registering Mr. Machinist through Compuserve.

  18. The file called K0203.TXT is a sample CNC milling file that
  19. consist of 6 different CNC programs that were downloaded
  20. from a CNC to a PC.  The CNC's memory was cleared and it
  21. sent all of it's programs to the PC under one file name.
  22. This sample file is used to test the sequence and split
  23. functions.  See the manual about using file sequencing.

  25. Use the install program to copy files from a disk to your hard drive.
  26. Any other method of copying should be done using DOS commands.  The
  27. two files that are absolutely needed to run MRM is MRM.EXE and
  28. MRMHELP.HLP.  These two files must be in the same directory.  You 
  29. could run the MRM.EXE without the help file but you would get an error 
  30. message when ever you tried to receive help.

  32. To get the full potential of MRM you should read the manual.  You will
  33. not be able to see all that the program can do in only one session.  The
  34. best way to get familiar with MRM is to read the manual.

  36. If you upload Mr. Machinist to a BBS, please include all files listed
  37. above.  Be sure to include the install program.  Please be sure that
  38. the compressed file includes all of the files listed above, no more,
  39. no less.

  41. If you would like to view the Mr. Machinist manual using DOS then you
  42. would type, 'TYPE MRMANUAL.DOC | MORE'.  The '| MORE' command is used
  43. to let you pause after each screen full of information.  The '|'
  44. symbol on the enhanced keyboard is usually used with the shift key and
  45. positioned on the lower right of your keyboard just above the back slash.
  46. The best way to view the manual is to use a shareware program like 
  47. LIST (c) by Vernon D. Burge.  Look for it on a local bulletin board 
  48. system!
