  3.     I have been disgusted lately at the number of boards posting out
  4.  300 Virii, 350+ Virii, etc... Well people, I'm sorry to burst your
  5.  bubble, but you might not like what I have to say in this article.
  6.  
  7.     First of all, I want to say that I have nothing against the
  8.  SysOp's who post those messages. It's just that we were all misslead,
  9.  and I also want to say that I have tracked the source of these so
  10.  called Virii and have found most of them to have come from Nightmare
  11.  on Elm Street BBS. A BBS in the 514 area claiming to be the Hacking
  12.  Factory of Montreal. The World Head-Quarters of HiF. A group lead
  13.  by Dream Warrior and Dream Master. I have a feeling these guys were
  14.  renaming everything they could find into Virii. Anyways, enough
  15.  ragging.
  16.     I have studied very closely all of these 350+ virii that have
  17.  been circulating, and have found only 60 to be real virii. Look
  18.  carefully at what follows:

  20.  Text Files: Some of these so called Virii are normal text files, either
  21.              from Anarchy groups, Hack/Phreak groups, and so on.. Some
  22.              examples are:
  23.  
  24.                           - BIG1-2: Ordinary Anarchy Texts
  25.                           - ANE9  : Anarchy 'n' Explosives #9
  26.                           - BRAIN : How to Brainwash people... ( Go Figure! )
  27.  
  28.  ANSI Bombs: Some of these so called virii are just plain ANSI Bombs.
  29.              the first exeample that comes to mind is HAWAII. Win a free
  30.              trip to Hawaii!
  31.  Trojans: Most of these so-called Virii are plain trojans. Some examples are:

  33.                           - GENTORPP:  FiS Genesis Torpedo trojan
  34.                           - BACKFIND:  WWIV BackDoor Finder
  35.                           - FAT     :  RABID Fat Fucker
  36.  
  37.  Nothing at all!: A few of these so-called Virii are nothing at all, or
  38.                   Trojans that don't work, etc... Some examples are:

  40.                           - CASTLE :  Simple AD&D Style game
  41.                           - BOXFIX :  4D Boxing Cheat
  42.                           - BAT2EXE:  Fucked-Up Trojan. I think.

  44.     So, I hope this little article will help you choose your virii, and
  45.  if ever you want to make sure if your file REALLY is a virus, check
  46.  it out yourselves, or contact your [NuKE] Representative nearest you!
