  12. This antenna provides considerable bidirectional gain.  Part of the gain is
  13. achieved by the broadside elements sharpening the pattern in the vertical
  14. plane, and the rest by the collinear elements narrowing the pattern in azimuth.
  15. This antenna can be used down to half the design frequency, assuming a suitable
  16. feed arrangement, with some gain over a dipole still available.
