  8.       Freedom Information Network (FINET) is a multi-disciplinary
  9. Christian ministry.  We exist to serve God, glorify Him and delight in
  10. Him.
  11.  
  12.       We are transdenominational, endorsing whole-heartedly the original
  13. Westminster Confession and catechisms.  Our historical scope is that of
  14. classical and philosophical apologetics, a teaching ministry, and
  15. providing assistance in these areas.  We also research and advise on a
  16. broad spectrum of cults, eastern religions and occultism, and assist
  17. researchers and pastors with these matters, original manuscript and rare
  18. theological book research, Septuagint and theological studies.
  19.                                         
  20.       Aspects of the counter-occult ministry include the "new age",
  21. theosophy, Western occult orders and various magickal systems. Counsel
  22. also is  provided in identifying and correcting disordered and
  23. delusional thought processes, often confused by "ego", psychoanalysis,
  24. processes of Zen "enlightenment", meditation such as TM, new age
  25. medicine and healing, and demonism, particularly where separation from
  26. or rebellion against God is a factor.

  28.       In addition to providing research, apologetics, teaching and
  29. counselling services, Freedom Information Network also operates a
  30. computer bulletin board ministry, linking several international
  31. electronic networks.  Via personal computers, we endeavor to provide
  32. connectivity between apologetics and other Christian BBS ministries,
  33. provide electronic mail facilities and share textual and intelligence
  34. resources.  We have had a unique role in the electronic community in
  35. discussing Christian, Messianic and Jewish theology and world views on a
  36. mature level. The computer bulletin board links Christians together, as
  37. well as provides research and timely information of concern to
  38. believers, researchers and others.

  40.       Our networks are accessible to the public, and as such, also
  41. provide witness to unbelievers.  We are a HUB for six networks, and
  42. sponsor and host our own network--Freedom Information Network. Those
  43. interested in current events and international affairs will find FINET
  44. of special interest; FINET is an electronic publisher of news,
  45. intelligence, and educational resources of concern to believers in these
  46. end times.  We also provide technical and resource assistance to
  47. believers in implementing their own computer bulletin boards and
  48. networking with other computerized ministries.
