  14. This is an easy compact way to get circular polarization.  It really becomes
  15. interesting when you add parasitic elements.  The horizontal and vertical
  16. fields can share the loop parasitics without interference, so you get circular
  17. polarization without adding any extra elements.  In a circularly polarized Yagi
  18. you would have to duplicate each element at 90 deg to achieve the same effect.
  19. Be sure to use a current balun or common mode feedline choke on each feedline
  20. (preferably a quarter wave away from the feedpoints) to prevent the current
  21. from the other feedpoint from traveling out onto the coax.
