  9.         HELP             -  This command will bring up  the HELP program.
  10.                             This  is just a clumsy imitation of what  you
  11.                             are reading.  (heh heh)
  12.  
  13.         LIBRARY          -  Used for  archive purposes.  You will  proba-
  14.                             bly not use this command much if you are new.
  15.                             I am mentioning it now because I will type up
  16.                             a  more in depth discussion of VAX  later  on
  17.                             the "What's Hacking?" sub boards.
  18.  
  19.         LOGOUT           -  Logs you out.
  20.  
  21.         MAIL             -  Loads the mail program.  Used to send mail to
  22.                             others users and CAN (YES, IT CAN) be used to
  23.                             send mail (or other) to (OR FROM) the network
  24.                             if the VAX is connected to a network.  It CAN
  25.                             (YES,  CAN) also send data to (OR  FROM)  the
  26.                             computers on the DECNET (if used).

  28.         $PASSWORD        -  Changes your password.
  29.                             EX: $PASSWORD mynewpass
  30.  
  31.         PHONE            -  Used to talk to  another user.  This  command
  32.                             is pretty nice compared to other means.  Your
  33.                             "$" prompt will be replaced with a "%" prompt
  34.                             once phone is executed.  If you want to  talk
  35.                             to  someone, type his username.  If you  want
  36.                             to talk to someone on a different node,  type
  37.                             his nodename, two colons, and then his  user-
  38.                             name.  A lot of times you will find this  one
  39.                             disabled     (especially    on     University
  40.                             computers),  but there are alternate ways  to
  41.                             communication  online  other  than  MAIL  and
  42.                             PHONE.  See below.

  46.         PHOTO            -  Records session.
  47.  
  48.         RUN              -  Executes executables.  (simple?)

  50.         SET              -  Wow...  this is a lot.  See below.

  52.         SHOW             -  This involves a  lot too, but not as  much as
  53.                             SET.  With SHOW, you can look at a lot.  I am
  54.                             just  going to list a lot of things  you  can
  55.                             view and what it will show you.
  56.                             EX: SHOW USERS DAV

  58.                             CLUSTER    - VAX cluster if any
  59.                             DEFAULT    - Directory path and device
  60.                             DEVICES    - The system devices (drives,
  61.                                          etc.)
  62.                             INTRUSION - If any accounts are being
  63.                                          hacked
  64.                             MEMORY     - Memory of course
  65.                             NETWORK    - Network and the VAX's location
  66.                                          within
  67.                             PROCESS    - PROCESS ProcessName shows
  68.                                          status
  69.                             PROTECTION - Protection on files
  70.                             QUOTA      - Shows disk space allowed for
  71.                                          your account
  72.                             SYSTEM     - Miscellaneous system info
  73.                             DAY        - Day & date
  74.                             TIME       - Time
  75.                             USERS      - Users online all systems
