They were immortal and always young, beautiful and high. They could move immediately from a place to another, and take the shape they wanted. Nevertheless they had all human faults: they were jealous, quarrelsome, envious, they tried to have more power than other gods, and they took part in human wars and quarrels, taking first one side and then the other.
