  4. Welcome to the demo version of All New World of Lemmings from
  5. DMA Design & Psygnosis. This demo contains 3 playable levels from
  6. this great new game.

  8. The full game has 90 levels ( + practice level & rolling demo levels ),
  9. more creatures, more great tunes, SVGA front end screens,
  10. animated 3D sequences, and much more.

  12. Sound

  15. This demo version supports SoundBlaster-compatible sound cards only. Use
  16. the install program to tell it your IRQ, DMA, etc.
  17.  
  18. The full game adds Gravis UltraSound support, and the CD-ROM version uses
  19. high quality CD audio tracks.

  21. Memory
  22. ------

  24. We recommend 570K free DOS memory to run this demo with a sound card,
  25. and 510K without.
  26. In addition, you will need around 2MB of free EMS memory. To get this, you
  27. must have an expanded memory manager, such as EMM386.EXE, in your CONFIG.SYS.

  29. Playing The Game
  30. ----------------

  32. If you are a seasoned Lemmings player, you will find All New World a
  33. wee bit different at first, but you'll soon get the hang of it.
  34.  
  35. If you have not played a Lemmings game before, beware ! You are about
  36. to get hooked like millions before you !
  37.  
  38. Your aim is to get as many lemmings as possible from the entrance of each
  39. level to the exit. To do this, you apply skills such as walk, block, jump, 
  40. etc. to individual lemmings by clicking on them with the mouse cursor.
  41.  
  42. The control panel at the bottom of the screen shows the current skill.
  43. Additional skills can be gained by lemmings when they pick up tools - these
  44. are the red blocks which are scattered about the levels.
  45.  
  46. A useful tip is that you can use the right mouse button to highlight
  47. individual lemmings, thus making them easier to pick out from the crowd.
  48. Clicking the right mouse button in mid-air will cause the next tool-carrying
  49. lemming to be highlighted. Clicking it directly on a lemming will highlight
  50. him.

  52. Action Replay

  55. All New World of Lemmings' special action replay feature is included in this
  56. demo. If you make a mistake in a level, you can replay your actions by
  57. pressing 'R'. Fast-forward & Paws can be used during the playback. You can
  58. interrupt it at any time to continue playing. You will then, however, be in
  59. Learner mode. In the full game, replays can be transferred to/from disk.
