  11. IconView is a utility to extract icons from EXE, DLL, ICL, CPL and
  12. other executable files that contain icon resources. 
  13. The extracted icons can be saved in ICON, GIF, BMP, and JPEG formats.

  19. To install IconView, just unzip iconview.zip and copy the two files, 
  20. IconView.exe and IV_ShExt.dll, to any directory you like.

  22. IconView won't create any shortcuts for you in the Start menu or
  23. on the Desktop, since I feel there is no need for that. 
  24. After you run IconView once, it's very easy to bring it up again
  25. - just choose "Start|Run" and type IconView to run it.
