  1. Aliens - COMPLETE!

  4. I downloaded a bunch of files from Software Creations (508-368-7036) for
  5. the Aliens sounds and graphics and I recall that most of them lacked the
  6. real 'feel' of the movie so I decided to take parts from a sound version
  7. that I had gotten - (sorry, don't remember where I got it so if it's YOUR
  8. creation, let me know so you can get credit - I mean, it's YOUR work, not
  9. mine!)  The graphics file that I found was superb and so were the sounds!
  10. I put the together and I think I have the ultimate in the Aliens saga for
  11. Doom so far!  Check it out!

  16. These are NOT my creations.  I take NO credit in making any of them.  All I
  17. did was convert the WAV files that I found into a WAD format to make it
  18. easier to load and so you don't have to modify your DOOM.WAD file.

  20. WHAT'S IN THIS ALIENS VERSION?
  21. ==============================

  23. It seems that 5 of the monsters are redone.  The graphics are superb!
  24. Two of the weapons have been redone.  (The Chaingun and the Rocketlauncher)
  25. and the sounds are COMPLETELY from the movie.  I've played these files
  26. over and over and with the lights out, this gives me the chills! =)

  28. HOW DO I USE THIS VERSION?
  29. ==========================

  31. Type this at the command line:
  32.  
  33. DOOM -FILE ALIENGFX.WAD ALIENSND.WAD <---- This will load the COMPLETE ver.
  34. DOOM -FILE ALIENGFX.WAD <----------------- This will load JUST the Graphics.
  35. DOOM -FILE ALIENSND.WAD <----------------- This will load JUST the Sounds.
  36.  
  37. As you might have guessed, you can use the graphics and/or sounds with any
  38. other WAD file level that you have!
  39.  
  40. I also strongly suggest that you use DCC30.ZIP (Doom Control Center V3.0) By
  41. Nold Software Engineering as a shell so you can load these files VERY easily.
  42. It's the BEST Console for Doom that I've found and I HIGHLY suggest that you
  43. get it!
