Long Description:
-----------------
Bristol Computing Professional Menu System is a DOS menuing system
engineered for ease of use and increased productivity. It's screen
displays were designed to provide an intuitive interface as well as a
professional appearance. Productivity increase is realized by
reducing the keystrokes required to start application programs and
repetitive tasks while eliminating the need for memorization of
complex commands. This makes it ideal in an office environment as
well as in the home. BCS Menu Program makes all of the programs on
your computer easily accessible.
New in version 2.0 is enhanced menu editing capabilities including
Command Helper mode which allows you to browse your disk(s) for
executable files or for menu files. Also, you can now set the state
of NUM LOCK, CAPS LOCK and SCROLL LOCK in each menu file. Improved
support for monochrome adapter has been added.
BCS Menu Program allows up 100 entries per menu. The possible number
of menu files is virtually unlimited (limited only by DOS file naming
conventions). Each menu item may contain up to six lines of
descriptive information. BCS Menu Program is completely self
contained. It features on-line, interactive menu editing.
Complete Microsoft compatible mouse support is provided. Support for
MDA, CGA, EGA, MCGA, VGA & 8514/A video adapters. Palette control on
EGA/VGA allows selection from 64 colors in standard text mode. BCS
Menu Program features an advanced, intuitive color editing screen that
allows easy color customization. Colors are saved in the menu file,
not in the program (allowing different color selections for each
menu). Optional automatic screen blanking is user modifiable in time
increments from 1 to 99 minutes.
Each menu item may be password protected; exit to DOS may also be
password protected. Support for up to 20 user input variables per
menu item; the user is prompted for input prior to command execution.
(A user input variable allows the user to enter text that is
substituted into the command sequence.)
BCS Menu program is not a TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) program.
It doesn't use batch files to execute commands. All commands are
executed directly from memory, yet, BCS Menu Program uses only 2.5K
RAM during command execution.
Installation is a snap using the supplied installation program.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
IBM Personal Computer PC, XT, AT, PS/2 or 100% Compatible.
DOS 3.0 or Higher, 512K Random Access Memory.
Hard Drive or Network File Server recommended.
Optional Microsoft compatible mouse.

given permission to distribute the BCS Menu Program package in
accordance with the Distribution Restrictions listed above (beginning
on page 5). ASP Associate Members (often called "ASP Approved
Vendors") in good standing do not need to request permission to
distribute this package.
This permission is in effect until or unless we notify you otherwise,
in writing.
If your address, as listed in the ASP Vendor Catalog is incorrect,
please send us your current address so we can ensure that you always
have the most current version (mailed in a sealed envelope). ASP
Associate Members in good standing will receive free upgrades for all
shareware products developed and distributed by Bristol Computing
Systems, Inc.
VENDOR.DOC Page 6
ASP Vendor Members who wish to distribute the BCS Menu Program package
as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM

In order for us to ensure that only current versions are distributed,
we require that you request permission from us (Bristol Computing
Systems, Inc.) to distribute any of our products.
Since permission is routinely granted, you may begin distributing the
BCS Menu Program package immediately after sending in your request.
You don't need to wait for confirmation from us before beginning
distribution. If, for any reason, your request is denied, you must
cease distribution immediately upon notification.
You may not list any of our products in advertisements, catalogs, or
other literature which describes our products as "FREE SOFTWARE".
Shareware is "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is not free.
When making your request please ensure that we have your correct
address and phone number, as well as the name of the person we may
contact if necessary.
