  12. ------------
  13. Just install as normal.
  14. This game tries to allocate itself a fair sized chunk of memory
  15. If you have problems running this game, try the following:
  16.  
  17. * De-frag your pilot
  18. * temporarily uninstall other apps
  19. * remove Hackmaster extensions
  20.  
  21. This game should work on all Pilots, PalmPilots, and Palm 3s

  54. Stylus
  55. ------
  56. You you may use the stylus to control the bat.
  57. Just drag the stylus to where you want the bat to go, and it will follow.
  58. Don't drag into the Graffiti area, as this can currently slow down or stop the game
  59.  
  60. Pause
  61. -----
  62. Press one of the pause buttons to pause the game.
  63. During pause mode, press left and right simultaniously to return to the
  64. title screen

  68. The Game
  69. --------
  70.  
  71. Use the bat, knock out the bricks, get the pickups, and avoid the nasties.
  72. Destroy all the destroyable bricks to advance to the next level
  73. You start with 3 lives, and get an extra one every 50,000 points
  74. There are 32 levels in this release.
  75.  
  76. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77. The Nasties
  78. -----------
  79. The nasties come out of holes in the top of the arena.
  80. They try to get down past the bottom row of bricks, where they
  81. do their best to get in the way.
  82. If the ball hits them, they are destroyed, but the ball will 
  83. ricochet off unpredictably. Beware, this can be very annoying!
  84.

  87. The Pickups
  88. -----------
  89.  
  90. C  -  Catch
  91.     Your bat becomes magnetic, and keeps hold of the ball(s).
  92.     Press the action button to release the ball. The ball will
  93.     release itself after a short time.
  94. S  -  Slow
  95.     Slows down the pace of all balls
  96. X  -  Extra Life
  97.     This rare pickups awards you with an extra life
  98. 3  -  Multiball
  99.     Splits the ball up into 3
  100. L  -  Laser
  101.     Press the action button to shoot the nasties and the tiles.
  102.     (or the laser will fire automatically if Autofire option is on)
  103. E  -  Extended bat
  104.     Your bat grows long. This can be extremely useful
  105. N  -  Next level.
  106.     This opens up a portal in the right of the play area.
  107.     Enter this to skip the current level.
  108. X  -  SuperBall
  109.     The ball grows to gigantic proportions, and smashes
  110.     it's way through even indestructible bricks!
  111. T  -  Tiny
  112.     This shrinks your bat
  113. R  -  Random bat surface
  114.     This makes your bat wholly unpredictable. The ball will
  115.     bounce off it in random directions.
  116. F  -  Fast
  117.     This increases the speed of the balls

  121. Options
  122. -------
  123. There are many options to help you play.
  124. Bat speed / Bat acceleration
  125.   - adjust these to your play technique
  126. Ball Size / Ball trails.
  127.   - These dont actually change the size of the ball in relation
  128.     to the bricks. They are purely there to help you see the ball
  129.     more clearly on the Pilot screen
  130. Difficulty
  131.   This alters the speed and increase in speed of the balls over time.
  132. Level Set:
  133.     This allows you to choose Standard levels or User levels
  134. Laser Autofire:     (yes/no)
  135.     Setting this will make you shoot lasers continuously when
  136.     you have the laser pickup.

  140. Level Editor
  141. ------------
  142. Select level editor, then use the stylus to design your own levels.
  143. It's straightforward. Using the stylus, just click on the tile you want, 
  144. and draw with it.
  145. You can design up to 32 levels.
  146.  
  147. Select User level set from the options to use these levels.
  148. When playing through the levels, if the game comes upon a level that is 
  149. empty, or has no killable tiles, it will act as if the game is over.
  150. The levels will be saved between sessions.
  151.  
  152. When progressing through the user levels, the 'maximum level you have reached'
  153. counter doesn't increment. It only does so with the standard levels.
