  11. No bowling shoes are needed but PocketC runtime-only application

  18.   PocketBowling.prc  The PocketBowling program stub.
  19.   PocketBowling.pdb  The PocketBowling shareware applet.
  20.   Readme.txt         This file.
  21.   PCBO.txt           The file for Memo Pad to keep track of statistics.
  22.   PocketC.prc        The PocketC application, freeware runtime-only

  26. Installation
  27. ============
  28.  
  29. 1.  HotSync the following program files into your Palm:
  30.  
  31.     PocketBowling.prc
  32.     PocketBowling.pdb
  33.     PocketC.prc
  34.  
  35. 2.  Import the PCBO.txt file into your Memo Pad or create a new memo
  36.     in Memo Pad with the following lines:

  41.     300
  42.     0

  44. You can run the program from PocketC, or directly by tap on the
  45. PocketBowling icon.

  48. Playing the Game
  49. ================
  50.  
  51.   1. Press the Scroll Down button to start the game.  Your bowling ball will
  52.      start moving across the bowling alley.
  53.   2. Press the Scroll Down button to roll your bowling ball toward the pins.
  54.  
  55.   To Get a Strike
  56.   --------------
  57.      Try to roll the bowling ball toward the pins when the ball is at the
  58.      midpoint between pin 1 and pin 2 or when the ball is at the midpoint
  59.      between pin 1 and pin 3.

  68.   Scoring
  69.   -------
  70.     The scoring in PocketBowling is the same as in regular bowling. Each game
  71.     has ten frames.  The bowler has a maximum of two rolls per frame, except
  72.     for the tenth frame, where he is allowed up to three rolls.  A strike is
  73.     when all ten pins are knocked down with one roll.  A spare is when all ten
  74.     pins are knocked down using both rolls of the frame.  A strike scores 10
  75.     plus the number of pins knocked down on the next two rolls.  A spare scores
  76.     10 plus the number of pins knocked down on the next roll.

  78.   Statistics
  79.   ----------
  80.     PocketBowling will keep track of your bowling statistics if the PCBO file
  81.     is installed in your Memo Pad.  To start over again, just re-install
  82.     the original PCBO memo file in your Memo Pad.
