1. A 24 hour connection to the interner with a single IP Address
2. A Windows 95, 98, or NT platform for the connection.
Requirements for the LAN server are...
1. A Local area net with TCP/IP protocol installed.
2. Each participating computer must have it's own unique IP Address specified for the LAN.
3. Win 98 version 2 LAN's that are using shared interner recources will not work unless each computer has been assigned it's own IP Address

Note: Version 1.1.2x changes internet game flow to improve game reliability during internet and network play.
The intenet interface has been completely changed. An ultimate Gin server has been implemented. The new interface provides a meeting place on the internet for those that want to play gin. Just submit your name to the list and wait for someone to click on your handle to play gin or you may click on the handle of another in the list waiting to play.
' --- Net Show Player
Microsoft NetShow Player Version 2.0 is required to hear the compressed wave files supplied with Ultimate Gin. If you do not hear voices associated with the talk balloons during game play, you do not have NetShow Player installed in your system.
Microsoft NetShow Player (nsplay.exe) is available form microsft as a free download. Our internet page at http://www.accidental.com has a link to nsplay.exe. Search the net for "nsplay.exe" to find it or visit our page at http://www.accidental.com.
Other MPEG audio players may work with Ultimate Gin II, but some are known to be incompatible. For best results, we recommend nsplay.exe. The archive size for download is approximately 1.75 megs.

' --- DirectX drivers
Card sounds and card selection sounds supplied with this game require Microsoft Direct X audio. Microsoft directX version 5 or newer is required for these sounds. Direct X drivers may be available on the Microsoft web site, but the file size is quite large. If you have installed a Windows 95 game from CD-Rom you most likely have these drivers already installed.

' --- Gin Rooms
Gin Rooms will be released from Accidental Software as they become available.
Both registered and non-registered users can download, install and use additional gin rooms at any time.
The following is a representative example of a Gin Room file.
Gin Card RoomSet2.exe -- or -- abbreviated as gRSet2.exe
1. RoomSet2.exe indicates that this archive contains the second set of card rooms.
2. Please note: All RoomSets must be installed in order to access any gin rooms beyond the original 4 rooms. In other words if you find RoomSet3, you must install both RoomSet 2 and 3 before you will be able to access any rooms in RoomSet3.
' --- Character Groups
Character Groups will be released from Accidental Software as they become available.
Character group file names provide information about that particular character group.
The following is a representative example of a character group name.
Gin Char Gp1bcd.exe -- or -- abreviated as C1bcd.exe
1. 1 = character group 1
2. a = character a included
3. b = character b included
4. c = character c included
5. d = character d include
6. u = at least one character in this group is a Universal character.
7. exe = self extracting archive
A Universal Chatacter is one that can be used by both registered and non registered users.
' --- CD-Rom users
Place the Ultimate Gin CD in your CD-Rom. If you have your CD auto enabled, Ultimate Gin II installation will start automatically. If Ultimate Gin II installation doesn't start....
Select your CD-Rom drive
Double click the file UGBoot.exe supplied on the Ultimate Gin II CD.
DirectX drivers included -- can be installed by clicking options, then Install Direct X or run the main installation program by double clicking Install.
Net Show Player included -- can be installed by clicking options , then Install Net Show Player or run the main installation program by couble clicking Install.
' --- CD-Rom character groups
All available character groups included -- These are installed with the main program installation. If you want to install them separately......
Right click your CD drive and choose the explore option.
Click on the folder Ogroups
Click on the group folder you want to install (i.e. you want to install charater group 2, Click on the folder group2).
Double click the file cInstall.exe
' --- CD-Rom Gin Rooms
All available Gin Rooms are included -- These files are in the directory GinRooms on the CD-Rom. If you want to install the Gin Rooms.....
Right click your CD drive and choose the explore option.
Click on the folder GinRooms
Click on the set of Gin Rooms you want to install (i.e. you want to install Gin Room Set 2, Click on the folder set2).
Double click the file rInstall.exe
All Gin rooms must be installed, in other words, you will not be able to use gin room 10 from set 3 until set 2 is installed.
