  23.         Wari is one of the oldest two-player strategy games
  24.         in the world. It has many variations, and this version
  25.         just one variation. Wari has been played in West
  26.         Africa and other parts of Africa for thousands of
  27.         years.
  28.  
  29.         The goal of the game is to capture as many "stones" or
  30.         playing pieces as possible.
  31.  
  32.         The game begins with 4 stones or playing pieces in each
  33.         pit. The human player makes the first move.
  34.  
  35.         The player picks up all the pieces in one of their pits
  36.         and sows the pieces, one in each pit, around the board
  37.         counter-clockwise. If there are enough pieces, the
  38.         player continues sowing into the pits on the opponent's
  39.         side of the board.
  40.  
  41.         A player may capture the pieces in their opponent's
  42.         pit if their last piece is sown into a pit in which
  43.         there is two or three stones. The player then gets to
  44.         capture all of the pieces in that pit, as well as
  45.         all of the pieces in any preceding pit that has two
  46.         or three stones in them on the opponent's side. All
  47.         captured pieces are placed in the player's end pit.

  49.         When all six pits on one side of the board are empty,
  50.         the game is over. The player who still has playing
  51.         pieces in their own pits gets to put them in their
  52.         end pit. The winner is the player with the most
  53.         "stones" or pieces in their end pit.

  59.         To run Wari 2000, you'll need the following system:

  61.                 An IBM-compatible, 486 or better computer
  62.                 Four Megabytes of RAM
  63.                 A VGA monitor
  64.                 Windows 95, or Windows 98
  65.                 Hard Disk with two Megabytes free
  66.                 Mouse

  68.         You'll have more fun with these recommended additions:

  76.         1. To get started with Wari 2000 on a hard disk:
  77.                 a. Insert the Wari 2000 disk in your
  78.                         floppy disk drive ('A', or 'B')
  79.                 b. From Windows 'run' A:\setup or B:\setup" and press

  81.                 c. Follow the screen directions.

  92.         If you have a problem, chances are you can fix it without
  93.         needing to get help. Try the following:

  95.         If the game says you have insufficient memory, or if it crashes,
  96.         try rebooting without loading any TSR programs, such as your
  97.         disk cache.

  99.         If the screen is to dark to see, try turning up the brightness on
  100.         your monitor.

  102.         If you are unable to fix your problems, try contacting us via

  105.         you encountered the problem. Also include any error messages
