  187. The installation procedure for Bible Birdie is quite simple.  The
  188. package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the
  189. entire process.  You will need about 2.5 meg of available disk space
  190. on the hard drive on which you plan to install Bible Birdie.

  192. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  193. Bible Birdie.

  196. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  197.  
  198. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.

  200.    o  Place Bible Birdie distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
  201.       appropriate diskette drive.

  203.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  204.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:
  205.       WIN 95: Click START / RUN
  206.         then type A:\SETUP
  207.       WIN 3.1 From Program Manager select File / Run

  210.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  211.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  212.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  213.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  214.       the Birdie files to that directory.  If you received Bible Birdie
  215.       on two diskettes, you will need to insert Disk 2 in the diskette
  216.       drive when asked to do so.  If you so direct it, the installation
  217.       program will install executable programs and documentation in
  218.       other directories of your choice.  It will make no other changes;
  219.       specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys
  220.       files.

  223. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE

  225. If you downloaded Bible Birdie from a the WEB or BBS (or received it
  226. in the form of archive files from some other source), you will need to
  227. perform the following steps.

  229.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  230.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  231.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  232.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  233.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  234.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  235.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  236.       the package.

  239.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  240.       the WizKid Painter package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute
