- Description:
- ------------
- Jonggy, the card game of the ancients, is a new and fun twist
- on Classic Patience (Solitaire). Jonggy, written by Marcus
- D. Gregio and published by Eternity Zone Gaming, is a unique
- one-player card game for both the advanced and novice
- patience card player. The game features full-colour
- graphics, animation, sounds, music, and an explosive 'win'
- screen. The game also features two levels of difficulty, a
- high score option, and timed play.
-
- System Requirements:
- --------------------
- This game should function properly on any Windows95/NT system
- with a mouse device. A soundcard is recommended. Please
- note that low memory will cause a problem with graphics
- (which will appear as a white box with an 'x' through it)
- and/or music/sound (which might not be heard).
-
- Object of the Game:
- -------------------
- Jonggy uses two different coloured cards, red and blue, each
- having 5 suits. Each suit has five cards. A full Jonggy
- deck has 50 cards (cards 1-5, of two different colours, and 5
- suits). The point of this game, not unlike Classic Patience
- (Solitaire), is to build your cards in order (1-5) according
- to colour and suit.
-
- The Rules:
- ----------
- A normal game of Jonggy uses 3 decks so each card will appear
- SIX times. Each time you change cards (draw) there are two
- cards (one from the red set and one from the blue set) that
- appear. This means that a full deck occurs, theoretically,
- after 25 draws. At 150 draws, as was stated, you will see
- each card (without a doubt) exactly SIX TIMES. (In the
- difficult game, the same deck is used, but a shuffle occurs
- and random cards are removed. Instead of the normal 150
- draws... there are only 100 draws. The normal game provides
- the player with odds, but in the hard game odds cannot
- occur--making the game more difficult--because the random
- cards, that are removed, can be any of the possible available
- cards in a deck. (In other words, in a hard game it is
- theoretically possible that one of the cards needed to win
- never turns up.) Once a card is drawn, it must be played or
- discarded (removed). A card that is discarded is out of play
- and cannot be retrieved. To play a card, click it with your
- mouse. Cards must be played in order. For example, in order
- to play card #3 (of the same suit and colour), you must have
- already played card #1 and #2. You are allowed to HOLD a
- total of four cards for later play (two for each colour). To
- hold a card, click the HOLD button (the top card--the draw
- card--will go to the hold area BELOW it). Cards in the hold
- area can be played or discarded. To play a card in the hold
- area, click it (also click it to discard it). You will WIN
- the game when you have the cards of each suit (with proper
- colour) in order from 1-5. You will get the hang of it.
- It's simple and a lot like Classic Patience (Solitaire) in
- many ways.
