  3.   Up to three options are available when you
  4. land on a planet: general information, trading,
  5. and the shipyard.  General information can
  6. always be obtained by clicking on the button
  7. at the top of the screen with the planet's name
  8. on it.  If a market or shipyard is present
  9. the appropriate button will be available.
  10. (If you are flying a ship with no cargo
  11. capacity the market button will never appear.
  12. If you are carrying cargo you must sell it to
  13. be able to buy a new ship.)

  15.   The general information display provides you
  16. with a few lines of text about the planet
  17. you're on, and there may also be the option to
  18. visit someone from there.

  20.                    TRADING
  21.                    -------
  22.   When you select to trade a list of the
  23. available goods and their prices will be drawn
  24. down the left side of the screen, and a list
  25. of the goods in your ship's hold will be drawn
  26. down the right side.  Click on a slot in the
  27. ship's hold (right side) to select it, and
  28. then click on a cargo item (left side) to try
  29. to buy that item and place it in the hold.  If
  30. there is already an item in the hold it will
  31. be sold automatically.

  33.                  THE SHIPYARD
  34.                  ------------
  35.   The left side of the shipyard display shows
  36. ships for sale.  the prices indicate the change
  37. in your bank balance when you buy the ship, so
  38. that if the listed price is negative, it means
  39. that your current ship is worth more than the
  40. new one.  If your ship is damaged the price of
  41. a new ship will be raised to cover the cost of
  42. repairs.  If your ship is one of the types on
  43. the list, it will be displayed in black.  If
  44. your ship is damaged there will be a charge
  45. for 'buying' your own ship, which covers the
  46. cost of repairs.

  48.   The right side of the shipyard display shows
  49. upgrade options.  You can upgrade the speed
  50. of your guns, the quality of your heat sinks
  51. (slowing the rate of heat buildup due to
  52.  thrusting or shooting) and the output of your
  53. generator.  When you buy a new ship the
  54. upgrades are removed from your existing craft
  55. and transferred to the new one.
